A tenant from one of my houses called me about a leak between Chritmas and New Year. I wasn't able to get there myself and the time of year meant my usual plumber/handyman was on his festive break. I remembered seeing an M&S van around the area so looked them up and called. They were really friendly/helpful and managed to get to my tenant on the same day (within an hour or so of my call) and sort the leak on the spot. They maintained contact with my tenant and myself throughout. I spoke with my tenant afterwards and he was very happy, then dealt with M&S again directly regarding the bill, which was a very reasonable price for a same day emergency call out, especially at a time when a lot of other plumbers were closed for Christmas/not treating it as a normal working day. Long story short: I was very happy with M&S on all fronts due to great speedy service, a fair price, top notch communication and them being friendly too. I will definitely use M&S again next time I have the plumbing/heating related need at home or in one of my tenanted properties. Based on this experience I'd be more than willing to recommend them to a friend/neighbour also.

What started out as a decorating project ended up with a broken 28 year old boiler. I called M&S Plumbing & Heating after seeing a friend had previously added a good review about them and they were also local to me. Richard came round and had to break the obvious news that the boiler was beyond repair. I asked him to quote me for a new combi boiler and radiators. Richard was contacted on Sunday and came to the property on Monday to fix a leaking stop tap. The job proved more awkward as the tap was in a cupboard. Richard had to cut the inside of the cupboard to get to the tap but did a neat job replaced the wood after changing the tap. The job was done to a good standard. Richard initially responded to a call for a broken down boiler. He was completely honest that I needed a new boiler and unfortunately new radiators as mine were 35 years old. We arranged to be away on holiday for a week whilst the work was carried out as Richard said the work would be very intrusive. I had no qualms about giving Richard access to my home. He did a wonderful job. The new radiators are so modern and the combi boiler works so well. Richard's prices were very good value. After reading the reviews from here I thought Richard was reliable so I contacted him for a boiler replacement and he came to have a look at the work. He promised to email me within 2 days with the quote for the work but that was 8 days ago. I sent him a text to remind him to send the quote but he ignored me. He is unreliable and doesn't have the guts to tell the truth if he can't do the job . Complete time waster
I needed a Powerflush sorting + a filter fitted to our combi boiler. British Gas quoted a ridiculous amount, so I looked online and found Richard. Half the price! We had a leak in our kitchen- Richard managed to fit us in on the same day we called, spot the problem, put in a short term fix so we can cook and shower (the leak was dripping from the shower upstairs into the kitchen onto the cooker) and has recommended the course of action to fix the problem longer term. We found him to be helpful, friendly and efficient.

Our boiler decided to start playing up leaving us with no heating or hot water. Richard managed to squeeze us in and, most importantly fix it! He also fixed a leaking sink/blocked pipes leaving us in a far better state than which he found us. Was very helpful and we were very pleased with the service we received.
I am a landlord. I contacted Richard to replace a damaged toilet with a new one. We agreed on the phone the price including any pieces required and agreed the brand that will fit well in place of the old toilet on the laminate flooring to avoid any gaps or damage. I had to wait for 2 weeks and after several calls and whatsapp messages he came in today. Unfortunately the new ordered toilet as he instructed didnt fit well and created a big gap in the laminaate floor. equally he asked the tenant to add 30 GPB more than the agreed price claiming that he had to buy a new piece for the toilet. He left the old toilet outside the door although he was supposed to break it to pieces and leave it in recycling bin. This gentleman is dishonest. He charged more than the agreed procel, didnt do the job properly and created problems in the flooring. I have to arrange now for someone to fit a new laminate floor and find a way to dispose the old toilet. I will never recommend this rubbish plumber.

Although Richard was friendly and prompt, I was not entirely satisfied his work. He did not clean up after the job nor did he complete the work he was paid to do ie he did not re-attach the cistern to the wall. Thankfully I have someone who was able to do this for me. A reasonable job.
Discovered water dripping through ceiling at 10.30pm on a Sunday - panic! Googled "emergency plumber Nottingham" and I chose M & S plumbing above others as it stated they were on call til 11:30pm. Richard arrived within half an hour, located the problem and isolated it, leaving us with some water until he could return to finish the job on the Tuesday morning. Richard came out the same day (a Saturday) when we woke up to water dripping throught the ceiling one morning. He was friendly and honest and came back straight away when further problems arose.
